Genoa – The “Carlini-Bollesan” Stadium will soon be made fully compliant with World Rugby’s Rule 22 standards for artificial turf playing fields, consequently receiving homologation from the Italian Rugby Federation in time to ensure the full operation of clubs in the province of Genoa ahead of the start of the 2021/22 Sports Season.
Enrico Mantovani, President of the Ligurian Regional Committee of FIR, said, “I am thrilled with the agreement reached with the company Radici Pietro Industries & Brands S.p.a., listed on the AIM market of the Italian Stock Exchange, a leading company in the artificial turf sector with the Sit-in SPORT brand, which has been immediately available to support us in addressing and resolving this situation. The agreement to upgrade the Carlini-Bollesan will not only return a playing field to CUS Genova in a short time, but will make one of the most iconic stadiums of our rugby a point of reference for all the Clubs of Genoa and the Province, aggregating the movement and fostering the exchange of best-practices between Clubs. This is a first step in a broader journey that we are confident will allow many Clubs in Liguria to restore or redesign from scratch their synthetic fields.”
Ivan Palazzi, CEO of Radici Pietro Industries & Brands said : “For our Company it is a source of pride to be able to support the Ligurian Committee of FIR in managing this particular situation. It is an additional responsibility that we gladly take on in the hope that we will be able to meet the expectations and reciprocate the trust that even the world of Rugby is recognizing in us.”
